When I woke up this morning I heard a voice and it whispered something very discouraging to me.
And it almost tricked me.
It was the voice of the enemy.
And I almost believed him.
But then I remembered a promise the Lord spoke to me at the first of the year concerning the very thing the enemy had come to speak against.
So I got up and got in the shower. By the time I got out the girls were both up, hanging out in the living room.
As I started getting ready, the Holy Spirit dropped a song in my spirit. And so I started singing it.
And then I told the girls: pause the tv and turn off the iPad. I’m putting on a worship song.
They moaned and rolled their eyes but whatever ..
I pulled up the song on YouTube.
I didn’t tell the girls but this version of the song was almost 20 minutes long. Which was perfect, just enough time for me to cook the bacon and unload/load/start the dishwasher.
So I did those things.
But I also prayed in the spirit, fasted, and worshipped the Lord, standing on the promise God had spoken to me at the beginning of the year.
And as I was praying in the spirit and worshipping, I felt pressed in my spirit to encourage the worship team on the very thing I had been discouraged about because THE DEVIL WILL ALWAYS TELL YOU THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU ARE TO DO.
We got into the car and before I pulled out of the driveway, I put on the same almost 20 minute worship song we had just listened to.
Ava chimed in: This again, we’ve already heard it this morning.
To which I responded: The Holy Spirit put this song in my spirit and when He does that, you sing it, because it’s a song of victory.
So I went into church and headed for the green room, where the worship team was getting ready.
And when the time was right I shared the prophetic word the Lord spoke to me at the beginning of the year concerning the presence of God in our church.
We prayed, prophesied, and we agreed.
And then you know what, the worship team got on stage and the first song they sung was the very song the Holy Spirit put in my spirit this morning.
I knew right then, VICTORY!!
The devil is defeated. Jesus Christ is Lord!

And guess what. That lie that was spoken to me this morning, yeah, it was just that. A lie.
The Spirit of the almighty God showed up to our church this morning.
He visited His people.
Because He loves us.
Life and death is in the power of the tongue.
Be careful what you come in agreement with.
I fully rejected the discouragement this morning.
And I want to encourage you, resist the discouragement in your life with everything you have.
Sometimes you just have to get up, laugh in the enemy’s face, and push beyond what you see.
Cling to the promises of God.
He is faithful!
